Armand Angelucci was a Fayette Circuit Judge from 1970 to 1988. He was the judge for some high profiled murder cases. including The Loudon Avenue triple murder in 1983, and the Michael Turpin murder in 1986.

Tom Gentry named a race horse after him, "Judge Angelucci" the horse was later sold to Japan. "Judge Angelucci" came in third in the 1987 Breeder's cup with Ferdinand placing first and Alysheba placing second. Both Ferninand and Alysheba were Kentucky Derby winners.
