Pvt George S. Young was a member of the 31st Infantry Regiment and fought on Luzon during the opening months of the Pacific War. He became a Prisoner of War on April 9, 1942 and took part in what is now known as the Bataan Death March. He was held as a POW at Camp O'Donnell and Cabanatuan where he died.
