Lloyd W. “Red Fox” Wagner, 86, Rush Center, Kansas, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at his home in Rush Center, Kansas.

Mr. Wagner was born September 15, 1927, in La Crosse, Kansas, the son of Arthur A. and Alta (Meier) Wagner. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. He was a self employed electrician and owner of Red’s Recreation before his retirement.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, Kansas. He was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II.

On June 9, 1961, he married Mary Beth Schmidt in Junction City, Kansas.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Beth Wagner, Rush Center, Kansas; four sons, Preston Wagner, and his wife, Maribeth Wagner, La Crosse, Kansas, Tracy Wagner, and his wife, Sue Wagner, La Crosse, Kansas, Terry Wagner, and his wife, Julie Wagner, Rush Center, Kansas, and Ted Wagner, and his wife, Lisa Wagner, Pawnee Rock, Kansas; three daughters, Linda L. Redona, and her husband, Raul Redona, Helena Montana, Tammy Wagner, Rush Center, Kansas, and Tanya Pierce, and her husband, Dean Pierce, La Crosse, Kansas; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Hinman, and her husband, Wendell Hinman, McCracken, Kansas, and Carolyn Helmer, Pawhuska, Oklahoma; one sister in law, Carol Wagner, Rush Center, Kansas; one brother in law, Glen Lawrence, Malvern, Arkansas, and his faithful canine companion, Poncho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Mark Wagner, and Travis Wagner; three grandchildren, Jason Wagner, Samuel Kelley, and Kacy Addams; two brothers, Kenneth Wagner, and Virgil Wagner; and two sisters, Hazel McNemee O’Jibway, and Norma Lawrence.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, Kansas, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A prayer service will be at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, Kansas, with Reverend Patricia Reep officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Rush Center, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Rush Center, Kansas; or the Rush County EMT’s.
