Copeskey, Joan M.

Joan M. Copeskey, age 81, a resident of St. Mary's at Felician Village, formerly of 2732 12th St., Two Rivers, died early Wednesday morning, March 11, 2015 at St. Mary's Home.

Joan was born April 15, 1933 in the town of Franklin, a daughter of the late Chester and Lorraine (Mangin) Eiles. She graduated from Valders High School in 1951. On October 8, 1955, she married Duane Copeskey at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Joan worked for several years at the Aluminum Goods, and later at Cool City Cleaners in Two Rivers. She enjoyed traveling to see her only granddaughter; and also enjoyed gardening and walking.

Survivors include her husband, Duane Copeskey of Manitowoc; one daughter & son-in-law, Nancy and Jeff Koeppel of Wichita, Kansas, and one granddaughter, Ila Koeppel of Boston. She is further survived by one sister & brother-in-law, Beverly and Paul Schmidt of Manitowoc Rapids; three sisters-in-law, Judy Eiles of Manitowoc, Shirley Hodas of Manitowoc, and Mary Lou (Carl) Pfefferkorn of Francis Creek; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph; one sister, Judy Eiles; two brothers & a sister-in-law, LeRoy "Scotty" (JoAnne) Eiles, and Cyril Eiles; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Sylvester and Mary Copeskey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Tuesday morning, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St. Two Rivers, is assisting the Copeskey family with funeral arrangements.

Joan's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Aurora Visiting Nurses & Hospice workers; the staff of Felician Village & the Court; and to Dr. Andrew Yetter and his staff for their compassion and wonderful care given to our dear wife, mother, and grandmother. Special thanks also to a wonderful caregiver and friend, Marilyn Wronkowski.
