George "Jordan" Myers Sr was born on December 25, 1875 in Jackson County, Tennessee, the son of Thomas Price Myers (1840-1922) and Rebecca (Overstreet) Myers (1850-1922).
He was married to Ida Willmore (25 Jun 1883-6 Aug 1976). After George died in 1941, Ida moved to California and was with her son when she passed away in 1976 in Napa.
A farmer out of Gallatin in Sumner County, Jordan was 65 years old and married when he died - of septicemia (blood stream infection) - on March 17, 1941 at Nashville's Protestant Hospital where he had been for seven days. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
