Asa Squire Ashcraft, of Las Vegas, was suddenly called to Heaven Monday, March 2, 2015, at the age of 68. Asa was the second of two sons born Sept. 18, 1946, to Harold Ashcraft Sr. and Ms. Christine McGuire, of the famed McGuire sisters, in Middletown, Ohio. In 1988, Asa met his best friend, unparalleled companion and love of a lifetime, Beverly Larson. They wed in 1992 in Woodland Hills, Calif., where they built a beautiful life together. Asa spent his early years as a U.S. Navy SEAL with three decorated combat tours to Vietnam, where he earned the nickname of "Catman" by his teammates.
