St. George, UT - Gilbert Myron Abbott was 53 when he passed away Thursday morning, September 17, 2009 in St. George, UT. He was born October 20, 1955 in Monticello, Utah to Bonnie Jean and Kerry Brooks Abbott. He remained a native to Southern Utah where he married Millie Montella. Myron had a talent and a passion for his artwork. He had the exceptional ability to capture moments and bring them to life, and his love for art carried into everything else he did. He also enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was hunting and fishing or hiking and taking photos. Most important of all, he taught his family to never give up and he will always be admired for his strength. He is survived by his three children: Tori, Kelli, and Caleb; three grandchildren: Aubrie Lynn, Sabastian Jordan, and Kara Jo. He also leaves behind his three younger siblings: Blaine, Gina, and Vance. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the Southerland Cemetery, Delta, UT. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
