MRS. ALFRED BESS

GREENWOOD, N. Y.. March 3 .— Mrs. Alfred Bess died at 7:30 this morning at her home in South Main street, after a long illness. She was 75 years of age and had been a resident of Greenwood for many years, being a greatly respected woman.

MRS. ALFRED BESS

Mrs. Sarah Bess, wife of Alfred Bess, died at her home in this village March 3, after a long and painful illness at the age of 72 years. She is survived by her husband and two sons, William and Fred Bess of this place and three daughters, Mrs. Frances Teater of Whitesville, Mrs. Edwin Ferris and Mrs. Charles French of Hornell; also one brother, Albert Krusen of Westfield. Pa. She had always lived in Greenwood, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her as a kind neighbor and friend. The funeral was held from her late residence in South Main street on Wednesday at 2 o'clock p. m.. Rev. Guy Overshire officiating. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
