We adopted Sailor from a rescue organization when she was just 12 weeks old. Her papers say a boxer / german shorthair mix. We don't really know what she was but we loved her. She came into our lives during a difficult time. We were just getting over the loss of our dalmatian, Measles. We found their personalities were so different. Sailor was so sensitive. She was a good listener and trained so easily. She was such a breeze, after having her for 1 month, we adopted a companion for her. He was a 1 year old Chinese Crested named Spotley Crue. He was a bit more of a challenge. They were inseparable. When Sailor was 6, she developed a huge fatty tumor. Because it was interfering with her walk, we decided to have surgery. A 4 pound tumor was removed. We were told that most likely it would return and it did but we had another 6 years with her. She was beautiful, tumor or not.
She lived 12 years 2 months and 2 days.
