Doris was 85.∼Doris Elaine Scott Bordelon was born to Louis Alphonse Scott Jr. and Leola Velma Scheffer in New Orleans on September 30, 1929. She was married to the late Emeric Joseph Bordelon on Valentines Day, February 14, 1953. Ms. Bordelon worked as a bookkeeper for LA Gas Service Company. She had a passion for her faith and family. She is preceded in death by her first born daughter, Joel Marie Bordelon Berg, grandson Wally Victor Pontiff Jr. (memorial# 6634808) and brother Elroy Frederick Scott. She is survived by one daughter Theresa "Terry" Bordelon (Wally) Pontiff, grandchildren; Melisse Berg Marasco, Haley Theresa Pontiff, Kim Berg (Matt) Friesl, Nicholas (Julie) Pontiff, great-grandchildren Kayley, Aiden, and Ben, and son in law, Robert Lynn Berg. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 19, 2015 from 11 am-12 noon with funeral Mass to begin at 12 noon at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the employees of Covenant Nursing Home, who loved and cared for her.
