Anna Dalquist was born in Germany March 7, 1879, the daughter of Julius and Amelia Stoppel. When Anna was a year old the Stoppel family emigrated to America, coming to Alexandria where Anna learned the millinery trade and was employed in Minneapolis and later at Ada, Minn.
On September 23, 1911 she was united in marriage to Ben E. Dalquist. After their marriage, they resided at Thief River Falls, where Anna operated a millinery shop and Mr. Dalquist was associated in the banking business.
In 1919 they retired from active business and after making a number of winter trips to southern places they purchased their hoe in Three Havens on Lake Le Homme Dieu where they made their residence until Mr. Dalquist's death in 1959.
For the past ten years Mrs. Dalquist had been a resident of the Bethany Home in Alexandria. She died April 7, 1970 at the Bethany Home at the age of 91 years. She is survived by two sisters: Onata Eider and Laura Read, both of St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters and four brothers.
