She was a homemaker and former spinner for the late Louisville Textile Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Garnett Thompson.
She is survived by her son, three daughters, and two sisters. She had 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday September 30, 2008 and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
Burial: Evergreen Cemetery.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Gideons International.
