Edward Davies, his wife Rahel O Fon Paynter Davies and their son young child Joseph E. Davies were visiting her sister at her farm Cefn Dderwen, Brynsiencyn, Isle of Anglesey, Wales when Edward Davies died suddenly at the farm.
In a letter I found in Joe Davies files at the Library of Congress, Rahel writes "Dear Ed,"
Edward Davies, his wife Rahel O Fon Paynter Davies and their son young child Joseph E. Davies were visiting her sister at her farm Cefn Dderwen, Brynsiencyn, Isle of Anglesey, Wales when Edward Davies died suddenly at the farm.

Inscription

"In memory of Edward Davies, the beloved husband of Rahel o'Fon (Paynter) who died on his visit to this country from Watertown, Wisconsin, USA January 17 1888 age 57. "
(Note: He died of a stroke in front of his son, who was reading to his father from the Bible.)

Gravesite Details

His grave with his mother & father and sister-in-Law's, the Paynters, adjacent to him were leveled, cleaned & repainted in March 2021. The work was done by Robin Hughes & Son, Monumental Masons, Llangefni funded by Mia Grosjean, great granddaughter.
