Dr Joseph Dewett Baker, of 118 Ridge Road, Center Township, died Tuesday, April 27, 1976 in Aliquippa Hospital.
Born Jan 23, 1894, in Rochester, to the late Dr Joseph H and Ada L White Baker, he was a retired dental surgeon of the Aliquippa area. A graduate of Aliquippa High School and the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, he surved as a private first class with the medical corps of the Army during World War I. He was a member of Mount Carmel United Presbyterian Church, Aliquippa.
Surviving are his widow, Jane Wiley Baker; a daughter of Mrs Margaret King Center Township; two sons, Joseph Dewett Baker, Fayettesville, Ga, and Robert Jan Baker, Miami, Fla, and seven grandchildren.
Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 in C E Douds Funeral Home, Aliquippa, where services will be held Saturday at 1:30 pm Rev William Lightbody, his pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
