Rev. Stuart Austin Lance, Sr. Norwood, Georgia- Rev. Stuart A. Lance, Sr., 54, of Old Greensboro Rd. entered into rest
October 25, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Betsy McFall Lance. Rev. Lance was born in Rome, Georgia to the late
Bertram Lance, Sr. and Lethia Bell David Lance. He grew up in Calhoun. Rev. Lance attended the Candler School of Theology
at Emory University. He served as a minister in the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. After moving
from Marietta, he made his home in Norwood where he attended Warrenton First United Methodist Church and was a member
of the Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife, Betsy M. Lance; sons, Stuart A. Lance, Jr., Dustin Lance, and Gerald Ball;
daughter, Megan Lance Morgan and her husband, Cliff; mother, Lethia Bell Lance; brothers, Bertram Lance, Jr. and wife,
Melba, and David Lance and wife, Barbara; and 6 grandchildren. Rev. Lance was preceded in death by his father, Bertram
Lance, Sr. and brother, Beverly Lance. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at
the Calhoun First United Methodist Church, Calhoun, Georgia with Dr. Bob Huffman, Dr. Randy Mickler and Rev. Jon
Ponders officiating. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia and Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun , Georgia are in charge
of arrangements.
