Hugh Scott was born January 14, 1926 to Samuel and Elsie (Konze) Scott in Langdon, ND. He was raised and educated in Langdon. He entered the US Navy in 1944 and served until 1946. He returned to Langdon and worked for John Deere Implement for three years. He then worked various power line construction jobs until retiring from Sorenson Construction. After retirement he worked part-time for Gerald Wetzel Motors and especially enjoyed doing carpentry projects for his family. Hugh married Anastasia Hamann on September 7, 1949 and to this union they had three children, Dorothy, Eldon and Nancy. He later married Mona Teasdale and to this union they had one child Mary Jo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shirley Agre and Evelyn Ryan, brothers Albert, Robert and Ralph Scott, sisters-in-law Velma Scott and Marilyn Scott, brother-in-law Jim Lawson and a special nephew Rick Ryan.
