Thelma, of High Island, passed away at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital.

She was born in Desdemona, Texas the daughter of Melena Jane and William H. Holliman.

She worked in Galveston and later married and moved to High Island in 1941. She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Administrative Council. She was a Past Matron of The Order of Eastern Star, and a Hospital Volunteer for many years.

She was survived by son Tommy Gene Smith and wife Frankie Lynn; daughter Jeannine Aiena and husband Frank; daughter-in-law Ruby Nell Smith; grandchildren Kim and Rusty Credeur, Melena and Tony Armentor, Gene and Missy Smith, Robert Aiena, Sondra and Doug Soper, Frank and Brandie Aiena, Bobby Smith, Jr.; great grandchildren Tyler and Katy Smith, Braeden Credeur, Lacie Armentor, Trey Armentor, Dustin Armentor, Kelsie Aiena, Kolton Aiena, Kolby Aiena, Taryn Soper, Peyton Soper, Haley Fergerson and Amanda Fergerson.

She was preceded in death by husband Robert Smith and son Bobby J. Smith, Sr.
