Ruede, Annie Laurie 87 Dec. 04, 1927 Jan. 23, 2015 Annie Laurie passed away peacefully the morning of Jan. 23, 2015. She lived mainly in Portland the past 60 years, the last 35 with her husband, Orvin Ruede. She was born in Walnut, Miss., the third of four children of Oliver and Louva Pulliam. She first married in 1949 to James Benbrook and their three children were born in different states. When her older children were teenagers, she began working for Emmanuel Hospital and retired in 1983. She married Kenneth Rudi in 1972, and was widowed a few years later. She married Orvin in 1980, and Orvin survives her. Her children are Dianne Cap, Jo Reese and James Benbrook. She has four grandchildren, Shawna, Tiffany, James and Morgan and several great-grandchildren. She also has stepdaughters including Barbara Mengelkoch and with Orvin, Audrey Hancock and Cindy Buckmeyer. Annie was mainly a housewife and mother and she loved family, including her children's pets. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Williams, in Memphis, and has several nieces and nephews whom she cherished. She is loved by many friends and family and we miss her dearly.
