She was the daugther of William Isaac and Louretta (Riley) Syler and married Daniel B. "Dan" Norman - 15 Mar 1924 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. She later married Benjamin Franklin "Ben" McCormick - 23 Aug 1945 - Madison Co., Alabama. Her obituary follows:

Mrs. Eunice Syler McCormick died at her home last Wednesday of an apparent heart attack. She was 69 years old and the widow of Benjamin Franklin McCormick.

Services were Sunday at Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bloodworth officiating. Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. McCormick was a member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Freda Coglianese of Chicago and Mrs. Waweda Fowler of Finley Park, Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Wells of Flintville, Mrs. Lizzie Noles of Belvidere, Mrs. Areva Stovall of Hammond, Indiana, and Mrs. Katie Jeans of Chicago; three brothers, Marvin Syler and Bill Syler, both of Flintville, and Beulah Syler of Gary, Indiana; six stepdaughters, Mrs. Evelyn Newton of Fayetteville, Mrs. Mary McNeal of Nashville, Mrs. Neil Syler and Mrs. Jewel Limbaugh, both of Flintville, Mrs. Jean Hall of Gary, Indiana, and Mrs. Betty Powers of Forrest Park, Georgia; four stepsons, Junior McCormick of Chamblee, Georgia, Roy McCormick of Fayetteville, James McCormick of Grand Park, Illinois, and Wilburn McCormick of Flintville; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 36 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
