Norman F. Hegewald, age 65, Birnamwood, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services, Wausau.
He was born January 12, 1940 in the township of Norrie, the son of the late Richard and Gladys (Fenske) Hegewald.
On April 25, 1964, he was united in marriage to Sharon Bessette at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. She survives.
The couple farmed in the town of Norrie until retirement. Norman enjoyed bowling, hunting, dancing, gardening, polkas and going to the casino. He was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood.
In addition to his wife, Sharon, Birnamwood, survivors include three sons, Ron (Pam) Hegewald, Birnamwood, Jim (Lisa) Hegewald, Lena and Dan (Jenny) Hegewald, Birnamwood, five grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Jessica, Jasmine and Alexandria, two brothers, Harold (Audrey) Hegewald, Nekoosa and Elroy (Julatta) Hegewald, Hilbert and two sisters, Rose (Jim) Wesener, Gresham and Irene (Jackson) Roth, Birnamwood and many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Norbert Brounacker, Birnamwood.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by a brother, LaVern.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon, Monday, November 21, 2005 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Rev. Everard Scesney O.F.M. will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of services at the church.
