She was born in Ashland, Feb. 22, 1928, a daughter of the late Alfred and Mildred (Casey) Baur.
She worked at Hershey Chocolate Corp. and then the Big N in Shamokin until her retirement.
She was a member of Christ Independent Church, Mowry, where she was the church pianist for many years.
Preceding her in death was her husband, George W. Smith, on May 21, 1994.
Surviving are three daughters, Pam Huss and her husband, Robert, of Newburg, Ohio, Claudia Yutko and her husband, Stephen, of Mowry, and Patricia Wright, of Mount Carmel; two sons, Michael Smith and his wife, Robin, of Mount Carmel, and George Smith and his wife, Joanne, of Shamokin R.D.; a sister, Miriam Zahurak, of Arizona; a brother, Robert Baur, of Maryland; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at Christ Independent Church, Mowry, with the Rev. Clyde Neidhammer officiating. Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, had charge of arrangements.
