CHEBOYGAN -- Aaron M. Dunn, 78, of Cheboygan, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. A resident of Cheboygan since 1997, moving from Gaylord, Aaron was born Aug. 16, 1924 in Parcher's Cove, Ala., the son of Martin and Lille ( Abercrumbie) Dunn. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II, and upon returning home, worked with show horses, most recently in the Detroit area. In addition to his love of horses, Aaron enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and spending time with his family. Surviving are two daughters, Josephine (Paul) Vanier of Cheboygan and Kimberly (Wade) Scott of Ward, Ark.; one son, Aaron (Angel) Dunn. Jr., of Ward, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Michael, Natasha, Joshua, Edith, Julia, Brandon, Alan, Aaron III, and Luke; one sister, Juanne (G.L.) Buell, of Southfield, Mich.; Alynn Rule and six other nieces; nine nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great-nephew; one sister-in-law, Gail (Al) Pettway, of Detroit; and one brother-in-law, John Wallace of Utica. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Irene Matney; and two brothers-in-law, Charles and Michael Wallace. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the Christian Funeral Home in Cheboygan, where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Pinehill Cemetery.
