William A. Yosa, 80, of Wellington, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015. William was born in Elyria to the late Alex and Lena (nee Kanak) Yosa. He was a 1952 graduate of Elyria High School.

After high school, William joined the U.S. Navy and was a Seabee from 1952-1954. He went on to attend Ashland University and graduated in 1959 with a degree in physical education. William worked for the Lorain County Engineering Department and for RLCWA. He enjoyed baseball, having played in high school and college, and loved spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wellington.

William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel; three sons; two daughters-in-law; four grandsons; one granddaughter and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Norton-Eastman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A private service was held with Pastor Tom Alexander officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions for William be made to the First Baptist Church of Wellington, 125 Grand Avenue, Wellington, OH 44090 or to Golden Retrievers in Need Rescue Service (GRIN) P.O. Box 24365 Cleveland, OH 44124.
