Peggy J. Ackley 79, of Marysville died Friday morning, July 1st, at Memorial Hospital. She was retired from the Ohio Water Service Company. She was a longtime member of the Springdale Baptist Church and a former member of the Springdale Women's Missionary Society. Peggy was a 1949 graduate of Magnetic Springs High School and, for many years, bowled in a Tuesday afternoon bowling league with the Bowling Belles. She enjoyed watching the NBA with George and will be remembered for her love of gardening and her baked goods.

Peggy was born August 23, 1931 on the family farm near Magnetic Springs to the late George H. and Dollie Brown. Peggy was also preceded in death by her brother, Dallas R. Black. She married George L. Ackley June 3, 1956 at the Springdale Baptist Church.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 55 years, George L. Ackley; their children, Cindy H. Frankland of Worthington, Tony W. (June) Ackley, Suzie F. Ackley both of Marysville; 5 grandchildren, Thad (Marie Jose) Hicks, Adam (Lori) Hicks, Jennifer, Elizabeth, & Michael Frankland; and 2 great grandchildren, Camden & Jagger Hicks.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8pm at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday with the Rev. Stephen Waltman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Springdale Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
