SADIE WILLIS EMERSON Former Well Known Resident Passes Away in Lynbrook, L.I.
Word has been received in this city of the death in Lynbrook. L.I. last evening of Mrs. Sadie Willis Emerson, wife of John Clarence Emerson, and a former resident of Ansonia. The deceased had been ill for the past nine weeks, death being due to a complication of troubles.
Mrs. Sadie Willis Emerson was born in Ansonia, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Willis. She received her education in the schools of the city, and later married John Clarence Emerson, the family moving to Lynbrook, L. I. about 20 years ago.
There remains to mourn her loss, her husband and five children, Mrs. Fred Strong of Concord, Mass; John Cecil Emerson, Clarence Emerson, Ruth)Esther Emerson, and Sadie Emerson of Lynbrook, L.I.; two sisters, Miss Minnie Willis, teacher in Grove Street school, and Miss Jennie Willis, and one brother, Joseph W. Willis, all of Ansonia.
The funeral will take place Monday morning from the family home with interment in Lynbrook.
