Erma P. Williams, 75, Springfield, Mo., died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, in Christian Health Care West. The daughter of Marvin and Gertrude Tindle, she was born in Greene County, March 31, 1928. Erma was a homemaker and member of Brown Ave. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Dodd, and husband, Rev. Roscoe M. Williams. She is survived by four sons, Frank and wife Carrie Dodd of Springfield, Gary Dodd of Springfield, Dennis and wife Sherry Dodd of Republic, and Marty and Debbie Williams of Rogersville; one daughter and her husband, Patricia and Jim Updike of Republic; two sisters, Dorothy Perkins of Nixa, and Ruth Tindle of Bolivar; four brothers, Joe and Mickey Tindle of Springfield, Lee Tindle of St. Louis, and Dean Tindle of Kansas City; 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W. Battlefield. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
