Sebby was found under an abandoned building in a small town in GA by my sister. His mother may have met up with a bad ending as she was seen taking care of her babies until the day she no longer returned. Her kittens were all adopted to good homes and Seb came to stay with me, since I was afraid he wouldn't be adopted due to superstitions surrounding black cats.

He grew into a loving indoor cat and helped to raise another kitten I adopted, acting as it's surrogate parent. He showed me that male cats can be very maternal.

His climbing skills were unsurpassed, as he could be found napping near the top of our Christmas tree all the season long.

He loved to talk and greeted me every morning at the coffee pot. He would be waiting at the door when we arrived home, meowing his hello. Cat nip made him wild-eyed and fiesty. He was my boy.

After a life long problem with digestion and stomach irritation and 4 times a year doses of cortisone by the vet to control this, Sebby passed away from complications due to diabetes, which is a side effect of long term steroid use in cats.

His is missed by his "mama" and "cat family" and is remembered always.
