Emma was the daughter of John Farris and Margaret Hovias. On 29 Apr 1891 she married George Kastelhun and, according to the 1900 Census, they had five children, of whom, three are know: Marguerite, George and Wallace. Emma died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 78.
