Dani enjoyed going up to Mt. Charleston, and frequently took Sean there.
Three things Dani was most proud of; 1) her son, Sean. She always said he was the best thing that ever happened to her. 2) Her home that she bought on her own. 3) Her new red Pontiac.
Among survivors are several nephews and a niece and:
Son:
Sean Alexander LaPose
Parents:
Charles Alexander LaPose
Kathleen Martha Ritter Rosendahl LaPose
Sisters:
Lisa Marie LaPose Dulara
Jane Anne LaPose Crandell
Charles Alexander LaPose, Jr.
Danielle passed away in her parent's home after a battle with a terminal illness, Agnogenic Myeloid Dysplasia.
She was diagnosed with Agnogenic Myeloid Dysplasia in the summer of 1996. Dani was told it was terminal and she could have a Bone Marrow Transplant with the hope of extending her life for about 5 years. The downside of the BMT was that she could develop Acute Leukemia. She had the BMT on Oct 9, 1996 at UCLA Medical Center. It was successful with no rejection. Everyone was elated! After returning to her home in Las Vegas, Nevada in late Dec 1996, she began to feel ill and was hospitalized in Las Vegas. From there she was airlifted to UCLA. On Jan 19, 1997 Dani was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia and given only a few weeks to live. She was told any treatment would be experimental and Dani decided to go home to live out the remainder of her few weeks with her 6 year old son at her parent's home in Phoenix, Arizona. Dani was flown by Samaritan Medical Transport to Phoenix on Jan 23 and passed away on Feb 5, surrounded by her family.
Rest in peace Dani. We miss and love you.
