Mr. Ahinzow was born May 10, 1913, in Russia. He was a supervisor for a meat packing company.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; his daughter, Christine (Christopher) Knudsen; and his grandchildren, Chris (William) Butcher and Lori (Michael) McLaughlin.
Visitation will occur from 9 to 10 a.m. today (May 3), at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, followed by a service at the funeral home, with interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
