Mrs. Mary Louise Creech, 95, formerly of Silex, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was born on July 3, 1919 in rural Silex, MO, the daughter of William and Stella Lee (Clare) Achor.
After attending the local schools, Mary married the love of her life, Delmar Creech on April 16, 1938 in Hannibal,MO, at the home of Brother Golden. They were blessed with two loving sons, Laverne and Bill. Mary was a devoted mother to their boys, and a loving wife to Delmar. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and was very active in her church, Old Alexandria Methodist, located north of Troy. In her later years she took great delight in playing the piano while her grandchildren would sing along. She will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.
Mary is survived by her two sons: Lavern and his wife, Dorothy Creech of Eolia, and Bill and his wife, Ann Creech of Silex, her 7 grandchildren ; David Creech, Rick and his wife, Rose Creech, Teresa and her husband, Stephen Kientzy, Kevin and his wife, Pam Creech, Jeff and his wife, Crystal Creech, Roger and his wife, Mary Creech, Cindy and her husband, Tommy Mullen, 13 great-grandchildren: Scott, Katie, Adam, Drew, Natalie, Kelsey, Ryan, Alex, Allison, Kayla, Peyton, Chase and Kiersten, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Delmar Creech, one brother, Ben Achor, and a daughter-in-law, Judy Creech
Interment in the Old Alexandria Cemetery in Troy.
