Leroy E. Aldridge, 82, 322 S. West St. died Thursday, January 30, 1992, at the Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville. Born Aug. 10, 1909, in Blue Ridge, he was a son of Joseph and Effie (Maines) Aldridge. On Sept 22, 1928, he married Thelma Faye Engle, she survives. Other survivors include daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Allen, Shelbyville, Mrs. Roy (Ida) Cox, St. Paul, and Kaye Hilbert, Indianapolis; sons, Laurel Aldridge, Germany, Raye Aldridge, St Paul, and Henry Aldridge, Lebanon; a brother, Charles "Pete" Aldridge, Florida; a sister Louise Tracy, Morristown; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Murphy Funeral Home in charge of services, with burial in Lewis Creek Cemetery.
