"Hi" Parkman, the son of W(illiam) C(hesley) Parkman and Mary Ann Haliburton, was born in Hopkinville, Christian Co., KY. His tombstone shows that he married Mary Amy Stewart (the dau of Oscar Marion Stewart and Hannah M Standage) on 15 Oct 1900. They had 4 daughters and one son, lived in the Buckeye/Palo Verde and Phoenix environs for most of their lives. He is well remembered in the Buckeye area, having had a hand in many early events. He was one of the founders of the Buckeye & West Gila Valley Old Settler's Union for those who arrived in Buckeye prior to 1900. He established the Buckeye Valley Historical & Archeological Museum.
