Pueblo Chieftain – August 5, 1918 –

The remains of Claude Biby, 18-year-old Pueblo boy who was killed in an auto accident near Rocky Ford Saturday night, are being held at Rocky Ford pending the outcome of a coroner's inquest which will be held Monday, after which the remains will be brought to Pueblo.

He is survived by father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Biby and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Frazier, residing at the family home, 515 W. 6th St. and one brother, Albert F. Biby, at present with the 31st Company, 23rd Battalion, 165th Depot Brigade at Camp Travis, Texas, having entered army service only a week ago.

The time of the arrival of the remains and funeral announcement will be made later by Davis & Vories.

The remains of Claude E. Biby, who was killed in Rocky Ford Saturday, will arrive here today, and will be taken in charge by Davis & Vories. The time of the funeral will be announced later.

August 9, 1918 –

Double Funeral – A double funeral will be held today at 10 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey J. Fraser, 315 W. 6th St., and services will be conducted for Mrs. Fraser's brother, Claude E. Biby, who was killed in an auto accident near Rocky Ford Saturday night, and for Harvey J. Fraser, Jr., the 2 day old child of Mr. and Mrs. Fraser, who died yesterday morning. The Rev. A. J. Waller, of the First M. E. Church will conduct the services.

The body of Biby will be sent to Lamar at noon and the body the child will be buried at Mountain View. The funeral will be in charge of Davis & Vories.

The funeral of Claude Biby will be held from the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Biby, this morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. A. J. Waller will officiate. The remains will be forwarded at 12 o'clock to Lamar, Colo., for interment, accompanied by the family. Arrangements in charge of Davis & Vories.

Pueblo Chieftain – August 10, 1918 –

The funeral services were held yesterday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Biby, over the remains of their son Claude, and their grandson Harvey J. Frazier, Jr. Rev. A. J. Waller conducted the services, assisted by Mrs. L. M. Johnson and Mrs. George Litz, accompanied by Miss Anna Shiner, who sang "Home of the Soul," "Sometime We'll Understand," and "God Will Take Care of You." Many beautiful flowers completely covered the casket, and the home was filled with sorrowing friends.

The baby was interred in Mountain View Cemetery. At 12 o'clock the remains of Claude Biby were forwarded to Lamar, Colo., accompanied by the family. Arrangements in charge of Davis & Vories.

Claude Biby was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Biby and was employed by the Colo. Bedding Co., whose truck, it is said, he was driving. According to word obtained from Rocky Ford this morning the party, it was understood, was planning to visit an aunt of the Schlues sisters.
