Civil War Union Soldier. Watchman. In civilian life, he was a railroad watchman in Bridgeport. He was a private in Company E of the 124th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was promoted to corporal on October 17, 1862, and was mustered out with the company on May 16, 1863. He was the husband of Mary Graham.
