Johnson B Wagner, 94 passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Wytheville, Virginia. Born in Pocahontas, Virginia he was the son of the late Floyd E. Wagner, Sr. And Thelma Conner Wagner. Johnson lived in Virginia and West Virginia. He attended Roanoke Business College and worked for Pocahontas Fuel Co, Consolidation Coal Co, and IBM. He served in the U.S. Navy as a chiefgunner’s mate in the South Pacific during World War II.

In addition to his parents, Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Vivien F. Wagner; two brothers, two sisters, three nephews, one niece and one great niece.

Survivors include daughter, Brenda Moore and husband David of Dawson, Georgia; son, David Wagner of Tazewell, Virginia; niece, Patty Johnson of Chesterfield, Virginia; granddaughter, Deidre Johnson of Albany, Georgia; and two great granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Rodriguez Bluefield Funeral Home, 210 South College Ave Bluefield, Virginia with the Rev. Norman Wilhoit officiating. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
