Ronald Charles Popp

Manitowoc - Ronald Charles Popp, age 76, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Ron was in Manitowoc, son of the late Milton and Eunice Swoboda Popp. Ron worked in construction, last with Vinton Construction Company as a superintendent. He retired and began his own business in Arizona with his wife where they worked for 20 years in real estate and home repair. Ron was a handyman extraordinaire and provided help to his entire relation, friends, neighbors and anyone who needed a hand. Ron showed his love for others by working on any project big or small. When he was not able to physically do the work himself, he became a fantastic mentor.

Ron is survived by the love of his life, Joanne L. (Sprang) Popp whom he married on August 8, 1964. Together they raised 4 children: Deb (Joe) Keil, Manitowoc; Don (Kerri) Popp, Manitowoc; Scott (Robyn) Popp, Scottsdale, AZ; and Dawn Lade, Manitowoc. He is also survived by his brothers: Gary (Debbie) Popp, Tom (Kathy) Popp; brothers-in-law and sisters in-law: Carolyn (John) Orth, Donna Sprang, Mary Mrotek, Roger (Sandy) Sprang, Fran Sprang, and Ann Keil. Grandchildren: Kiley McAllister, Tyler Schleis, Zach Schleis, Braxton Keil, Parker Popp, Peyton Popp, Sierra Popp, Hunter Popp, Coty Popp, Michaela Lade along with numerous great grandchildren; former sons-in-law: Joe Schleis and Jack Lade; and many other friends and family.
