Kelly Roger Bowling, 86, a long time Milroy resident, passed away March 28, 2015 at his home in Milroy.

He was born May 28, 1928 in Clay County, KY to Tilford & Chelsea (Depew) Bowling.

Kelly graduated form Vine Grove High School in Vine Grove, KY in 1947. He married Lois Jessup on Nov. 14, 1949 and they were married for many years. He married Lois Tungate Welter on December 30, 1993 and she survives.

Kelly was a carpenter his entire life. He belonged to the Milroy Christian Church and was a Past Master & 50+ year member of the Liberty Masonic Lodge #58 F&AM.

He is suvived by his wife, Lois, of Rushville, sons, Larry & wife Brenda Bowling of Franklin, Steve Bowling of Homer and Mark & wife Kim Bowling of Rushville, daughters, Vicki & husband Jim Hoskins of Milroy and Valorie & husband William Marker of Atwater, OH, brothers, Roy & wife Joanne Bowling of Atlanta, GA, David & wife Alice Bowling of Mendon, OH, Tilford & wife Ollie Bowling of Liberty, IN and Tilman & wife Fran Bowling of Hampton, VA, sisters, Cledith Kinder of Raleigh-Durham, NC, Ida Lintner of Ocala, FL, Neva Long of W. College Corner, IN, Diana & husband Ernie Anderson of Monroe, MI & Marthann & husband Joe Robbins of LaSalle, MI, step sons, Robert Welter of Greensburg & Larry & wife Ruby Welter of Rushville, step daughters, Theresa Hutslar of Rushville and Kim & husband Doug Garriott of Milroy, 18 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Virgil, Shelby, Strother, Gary Curtis(infant) & Robert Lee (infant).

Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Phil Mitchell presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 4-8 PM Wednesday evening. There will be Masonic services Wednesday evening at 7:45.

Burial will be in the East Brook Cemetery.
