Mrs. S. W. Abbott Dies in Hospital; Services Thursday
Mrs. Ollie Faye Abbott, 71, 530 Second Avenue, wife of S. W. Abbott, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday in Wilson Memorial Hospital where she was admitted a day earlier. Complications caused her death. She had been ill for the past several months; a fall last March was the source of complications that proved fatal.
The funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Dearth Funeral Home with Rev. Walter N. Martin officiating. Bural will be made in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon or evening.
She was a member of the Hardin Methodist Church.
A native of Jackson Township, she was born May 9, 1877, the daughter of Granville P. and Sarah C. Michael Miars.
She married S. W. Abbott December 25, 1895.
He survives with six sons and a daughter; Frank R., R. R. 6; C. Forrest, Sidney, Roy E., Dayton; S. Howard, Grants Pass, Oregon; Ben H., Trotwood; Carl J., R.R. 5; Mrs. Paul Packer (Bernice), R. R. 2. Two daughters died in infancy.
Brothers and sisters are; Victor Miars, Anna; Mrs. Lloyd Howell, Maplewood; Ernest Miars, Jackson Center; Don Miars, Muskegon, Mich.; Mrs. Ethel Tucker, Anna.
There are 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
