Ochs, Paul M.

Paul M. Ochs, age 63, a resident of Cedar Lake, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Paul was born on September 11, 1951 in Sheboygan, WI, son of the late Paul S. and Beatrice (LaButzke) Ochs. He was a graduate Sheboygan South High School with the class of 1969. After graduation, Paul served with the United States Army in Vietnam. Upon his return home, Paul went to apprentice school for two years and began his career as a sheet metal worker. After his retirement as a sheet metal worker he became a charter boat captain on the "Chauzer", out of Sheboygan, WI. He was later employed with Big Family Charter as a Captain out of Manitowoc. On February 11, 1989 he married the former Gail Hubbartt in Manitowoc, WI. Paul was a member of the Kiel Optimist Club and also a member of various hunting and fishing organizations.

Survivors include his wife: Gail, Cedar Lake; three daughters: Autumn Ochs, Milwaukee, Alexa Paula Ochs, Kiel, and Jennifer Ochs and her daughter Naomi, Glenbulah, WI; his black lab: Remington; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lynn and Don Manchak, MI, Janice and Mike Bolsoni, IL; father-in-law and mother-and-law: Ralph "Dick" and Arlene Hubbartt, Newton; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Richard and Amy Hubbartt, Newton; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Vickie and Frank Lutz, Tarpon Springs, FL, and Brenda and Jerry Morreau, Newton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Gleichner with burial of Paul's cremated remains to be buried at St. Casimir Catholic Church Cemetery, Northeim, at a later date where graveside military rites will be accorded.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc from 10:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. A reception will be held at The All-Care Center (located across the street from The Pfeffer Funeral Home) immediately following the memorial service.
