Services for Harold Edward Bouye, 87, of West Columbia, will be held at 3pm Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Paul E. Aebischer and Rev. Virginia S. Aebischer. Entombment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mr. Bouye died Monday, January 10, 2005. Born in Lexington, SC, he was the son of Chesley Edward and Ella Hallman Bouye. Mr. Bouye proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and was retired from Winn Dixie after 43 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years, Lina Elvira Areheart Bouye of West Columbia; daughters and son-in-law, Terri Bouye of Woodbridge, VA, Barbara and Lewis Tankersley of Lawrenceville, GA, Rebekah Bouye of Lexington; grandchildren, Kristan Fite of Fairfax, VA, Brian and Aimee Fite of Woodbridge, VA, Erin and Lauren Tankersley of Lawrenceville, GA; great granddaughters, Alyssa and Hanna Fite; and several nieces and nephews.
