Earl C. Glaeser, age 80, passed away on Saturday, October
27, 2018 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.Earl was
born on April 9, 1938 in Manitowoc, son of the late Walter and Edna
Glaeser. He was a graduate of Valders High School in 1956. He then was
employed at Manitowoc County DHIA and Midwest Breeders. On October 3,
1959 he married the former Lois Schultz at Immanuel Lutheran Church.Earl
was involved in many activities throughout his life. While living in
Valders, he was a member of the Valders Fire & Ambulance for seven
years. In 1977 he & his wife purchased the family farm east of
Valders where he still resided at his passing. Earl served as President
of Manitowoc County Expo during its early years at its present location.
He also served on the Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors. He was
Liberty Town Clerk for 19 years. In addition he was on the Manitowoc
County Planning and Parks Commission, Farm Service Agency and at the
present time was on the Manitowoc County Board of Adjustment. He was an
active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as president
and also chairman of the latest building addition.He enjoyed
spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sports
and music activities. Also, he enjoyed his daily breakfast at the local
restaurants with his many friends.He is survived by his wife,
Lois, of 59 years: three sons, Lee (Peggy) Glaeser, Newton, Todd (Tammy)
Glaeser, Valders, and Brian (Carol) Glaeser, Valders, one daughter Kim
(Steve) Fischer, Manitowoc. eight grandchildren, Kayla (Jeff) Evenson,
Brandon Glaeser, Brett (Dani) Glaeser, Breanna, Nicole and Lindsay
Glaeser, Matthew and Kaitlyn Fischer and three great-grandchildren:
Tenley, Carson & River Evenson. One brother, Jim (Julie) Glaeser. He
was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edna Glaeser,
father-in-law & mother-in law Arthur & Orpha Schultz, two
brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Vernon & Martha Schultz and Dr
Tom & Lucille Peterson, and one nephew Mark Peterson.Funeral
services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at
Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Liberty. Officiating at the service
will be Pastor Gregory Pope. Entombment will take place at Knollwood
Chapel Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth at a later time. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
