James Ray Adair, 74, of Godley passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born May 11, 1940 in Cleburne to James Arthur “Pete” and Mary Frances Franklin Adair. He married Betty Lee Yater on January 17, 2003 in Godley.
Mr. Adair was a cross country commercial truck driver. He drove for many 28 years before retiring. He was a member of the Teamsters Local No. 745 since 1963 and the Godley Methodist Church, joining at the age of nine. Jimmy was an avid hunter. He enjoyed sharing stories and was a good friend to many.
Survived by his wife, Betty Yater Adair; children; grand children; five great grand children; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Julie Cloud and Paula Jean Morrison and daughter, Nicole Michelle Timberman.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Godley Cemetery.
