Funeral services for Oscar M. Lopez, 73, of Richmond, will be held Friday 1:30 p.m. in the Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg, with Reverend Rudy Lopez officiating. Services will be recited Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Mr. Lopez, born September 7, 1919 in San Marcos, Texas, passed away Wednesday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston. He served in the Army of the United States in W.W.II and Honorably Discharged in October of 1945.
Survivors include wife of 49 years, Connie Reza Lopez of Richmond; sons, Oscar Lopez, Jr. and wife, Gloria, of Richmond, Jack Lopez of Houston, Joe A. Lopez and wife, Mary, of Rosenberg, Rudy Lopez and wife, Orelia, of Rosenberg, and Gilbert Lopez of Richmond; daughters, Jean Trevino of Houston, Julia Cruz and husband, George, of Richmond, Alice Castro and husband, Ray, of Richmond, and Velia Ancheta and husband, Gilbert, of Houston; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg.
