James Larimore

James Larimore, 82, of LeGrande, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at his daughters home surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Hart County, a lifelong member of Rock Spring Baptist Church, a retired farmer, a former Horse Cave Police Officer, a Hart County Constable for 16 years, former operator of North Shell Station, Horse Cave, a truck driver for P & G Oil and Branstetter Farms, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and later in life had a lawn care service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Larimore and Kizzie Pearl Nunn Larimore; three sisters, Gladys England, Lovie Whitlow and Adell Biggs; four brothers, William Larimore, Elon Larimore, Rev. Leon Larimore and Rev. Carl Fancher.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby Bunch Larimore, of LeGrande; daughter, Barbara Shepherd and husband, Dave, of LeGrande; son, James A. "Moose" Larimore, of Horse Cave; four grandchildren, Anthony Shepherd and wife, Ariel, Dana Overfelt and husband, Ross, Trevent Hayes, Hezzick Doyle and wife, Tracy; eleven great-grandchildren, Alex, Breanna, Caitlyn, Dayla, Elizabeth, Fenix and Gabe Doyle; Abigail, Breanna and Emma Overfelt; and Ashlynn Shepherd; his brother, Elroy Larimore and wife, Doris, of Horse Cave; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 4PM in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Houk Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the D.A.V. Chapter #20 of Glasgow.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 3PM-8PM at Winn Funeral Home and after 9AM until service time on Sunday.
