Born July 19, 1908, at Polemic Run, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Josephine Barnett Tinney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ellis "Pistol" Rapp; and two sons, Ralph Dillon and Ellis Rapp Jr.
She attended the Powells Mountain Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include children, James "Pistol" Rapp, Jerry and Betty Rapp, Jack and Anna Mae Rapp, Charlotte Samples, Shirley and Ralph Morris, and Marie Rapp; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at the Powells Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Linn Schiefer officiating. Interment will follow in the Rapp Cemetery at Muddlety.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at White Funeral Home at Summersville.
