MARY ALLEN
Mrs. George Allen, 83, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc, died late Thursday at her home at 1011 Columbus St., following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o'clock at the St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen, nee Mary Herrmann, was born in 1868 in Manitowoc. She was married in 1892 to Thomas Dirkmann who died in 1907. She was married to George Allen in 1920.
Mrs. Allen was a member of St. Ann Alter Society of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Thomas G. Dirkmann; brother, George Herrmann; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Fischer and Mrs. Ida Barkhahm, all of Manitowoc; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from Sunday until time of services. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.
