Rose E. Bender, 1325 North 8h St., Manitowoc, previously of 1710 Philippen St., Manitowoc, died Saturday, September 12, 1998, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 1998, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian burial will be Rev. Camillus Janas O.F.M. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Rose E. Denor was born in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Wagner Denor. She married Frank Bender at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The couple made their home in Manitowoc after their marriage. Prior to retirement, Rose had been employed at Mirro Aluminum and for many years at the former Mur's Drug store in Manitowoc.
She as a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, St. Therese Society, a 50-year member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and the Manitowoc Center.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Linda Bender, Kaukauna; four grandchildren, Kaite, Julie, Christopher and Scott Bender; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Catherine Massman, Manitowoc, Clara and Adolph Raschke, Brillion, Viola and Robert Bielinski, Denmark; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Bernice Denor, Whitelaw; Arthur and Elizabeth Ann Denor, Denmark; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Jerry Denor and Rosella Denor, bother (sic) of Brillion; Ann Denor, Reedsville; Michael Mangin, Grimms. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, Peter, Joseph, Edward, Raymond and Herbert Denor, and a sister, Lillian Mangin.
