Harold Anderson, passed into the arms of our Lord and his beloved wife on Friday, April 3, 2015 after a brief illness with pneumonia at Mill Pond Community surrounded by his family.Harold was born in Fort Dodge, then moved to East Des Moines, around the age of 5. Harold graduated from EHS in 1936, entered the Army Air Corp in WWII serving overseas the majority of his time. He served as a Letter Carrier for the USPS until retirement in 1979. During his military service he renewed his acquaintance with Marian Johnson, and upon their discharges they married in 1946. To this union two sons were born, Richard and Gary.Those left to honor his legacy are Rick (Rhonda) Anderson and Gary (Mary) Anderson; grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Anderson, Eric Boden, and Molly (John) Winquist; great-grandchildren, Milly and Lorelai Winquist; nephew, Larry (Jan) Johnson.Preceding him are his parents, August and Severina; loving wife, Marian Louise; siblings, an elder sister, Anna (Ed) Johnson, John Anderson, and Harold's twin sister, Mary.
