Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron-169, Marine Aircraft Group-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, out of Camp Pendleton, CA

He died when his helicopter crashed into Lake Habbaniyah in Iraq. He graduated from high school in 1993, and graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1998. He served in the US Marine Corps for seven years, with a deployment to Japan and two deployments to Iraq. Among his military awards and decorations was the Air Medal with Valor.

He was survived by his parents; his wife of 4 years; his son; his sister and her spouse; his brother and his fiancée; a niece; two nephews; and many other family members.

A memorial service was held at Berea Lutheran Church, Inver Grove Heights, MN, on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Interment on June 14, 2006.
